In the windows: Mignon Faget believes in the beauty of the south

From Sea and Tulips to Hive and Louisiana many of Mignon’s designs are inspired by nature.  The beauty of nature, specifically the beauty of the south, is the theme behind our spring windows.

Spring in the south is full of all things green, moss, blossoms and leaves blooming.  We used live moss sheets paired with various artificial green plants to create a terrarium like environment for our canal place gallery windows.

To correlate with the natural theme of the windows we chose to highlight jewelry that is inspired by nature as well.  Above we are showcasing pieces from Tulip, Zea and Zamia collections.  We also included our much loved Iris necklace (the native wild flower of Louisiana) which was recently updated with Swarovski pearls and faceted Amethyst.

What would the spring and Easter season be without bunnies?!  Here both Rabbit and Petit Lapin pieces from the Animal Crackers collection are featured.  Humor, whimsy and childhood nostalgia motived Mignon’s Animal Cracker designs, a break from more inquiring work.

The popular Bamboo and Louisiana collections are the last two collections we chose to feature in the windows.  Both have strong ties to nature and the beauty of the south.

To really drive home the terrarium mood of the windows we placed jewelry in the plants to create the feeling of them growing from nature.

To correlate with our “Beauty of the South” windows we ran an instagram contest where collectors uploaded photos of what they thought made the south beautiful.  Below are some of the entries………
